Is there any product out on the market that off sets the lowered mpg that the winter mix gas produces??? I live in East Tennessee and the gas has already been switched over...my mpg has dropped 2-2 1/2mpg...really sucks with gas prices going over $3....any comments???

I get 11 MPG and drive 90 miles round trip every day to work. It is the price I pay for driving a a S/C lifted truck. Me personaly I would still drive my truck if gas was $10+ a gallon. Does the 2 MPG less affect you that much.

....... that would cost you $81.xx a day or $409.xx a week assuming a 5 day work week. Would you REALLY spend over 4 bones a week to drive your truck?

That's 90 Mi round trip. right now I'm paying $3.45 a gal for Shell premium. 11 MPG is a high average more like 10.5

90 x 5 = 450 / 11 = 40.91 x $3.45 = $141.13 a week in gas. My smile on my face is worth more that that.

You bet I would spend that and more. My truck is my hobby sure I have other cars but where si the fun in that. $400 isn't anything to me.

I did the math based on your $10 per gallon remark. $400+ a week would be ridiculous just for gas to drive an F150. Yes, they're nice trucks, but they're not $1200+/month for gas nice. If I was gonna blow over $1200 a month to drive something it'd be a heck of a lot nicer vehicle than an F150.

I guess I am not a "BIG DOG" like you.. Yes...the lowered mpg does affect me...not the cost...the lowered performance I get out of the winter mix gas..lower performance = engine working harder to achieve the performance of "summer" gas...My originial question was about any additives available that would reverse the affect...not my ability to pay

Here in Colorado they just increase the amount of ethanol, usually lowers the MPG by a cpl miles per gallon.
