E-fans?

Okay, I am noticing that Electric fan kits are kind of ridiculous in cost. Does anyone have a link to a good kit, or the pieces to put together my own Efan setup for less $$? It just seems $500.00 is a bit high for dual flex a lites...

Patman and I custom built my kit. It cost less than $150 bucks for everything and really isnt that difficult to do. I have two dual 16's btw

If yer at all handy - this is a good place for quality components: http://www.spalusa.com/

Do not set your budget too low - your engine is worth far more than any fan kit.

I recognize you don't like getting advice from me, but I will continue to offer it as best I can.

If you purchase the SPAL PWM fan controller please put it inside the vehicle, i have had two fail because of eternal condensation and do not recommend them. But the SPAL fans on the other hand are very nice. I need to install them on the new truck.

Can you list out what you used? My biggest concerns are the shroud, and the wiring of course... Gee nothing too big there right?

Photos and / or schematics would be great!

Eternal external condesation can last forever.

Never had problems with mine - bought used - still going strong. Still sitting in the engine bay of my toy.

For shame - that's what conformal coatings and potting compounds are for

My recommendation stands.

Are you sure you just didn't hammer them with a pressure washer?

LOL internal, thanks webster.

Ps: I hope you like your present in the mail. And that JLT flows ~25% more air than stock.

Check Ebay for "S" blade electric fans.. I bought 2 14" fans for $50. I have a MadEnterprise controller for one fan and an in-cab switch for the other fan.

look for a set of pusher/puller fans on ebay, 2 of them. Then buy 2 30 amp relays, if you want them temperature controlled (I gave up on temp control and just went with a switch), look for a that type of relay.
