I found one on Ebay for 50 bucks so if I don't get the look I am wanting, I can get my money back out of it for sure.

50 bucks? For that price, if you dont get the look you want you might as well sell it and make a profit.

Your truck looks great I also like the grille you have now. Would you know if they offer a kit for lifted trucks?

Since I plan on lifting my truck, that was a question I asked as well. Essentially you would need to buy a larger (taller) bag to replace the shorter one depending on height increase. That way you can still maintain all their nice bolt on mounting brackets.

If your truck is already lifted, I suggest calling tech support and tell them your overal increase out back and they could probably build you a kit to avoid a costly two bag purchase.

Absolutely...I think they will perform flawlessly considering the quality and design of the product thus far. Really a lot better than some of the other "air springs" I've seen out there like Pac Brake and Airlift.

Actually, there is a member here who has the 4" rancho lift with the ride-rite bags. instead of using taller bags, he fab'd a block to put in under the bags to give it the extra 2" that the rancho lift adds, it looks great and is a cheap alternative to larger bags.

this is a sweet mod, im definitely considering it because my truck sags pretty bad when hauling a ton of stuff and when you pump lots of air into these bags it can raise your payload total by a significant amount.

You installed your air bags incorrectly, the angle of the bottom plate is angled to far back and causing the air bag to sit wrong at the top plate.

The ride 'harshness' with bags is more than with AALs. Trust me i know, i have the same kit with a friend with AALs. 15psi = AALs, but with AALs the leaf design still unloads properly, with air bags when the suspension unloads over a bump... it UNLOADS harder and not as smooth. And when you start jacking up the pressure it becomes worse.

I have had my kit for a year now with the compressor. Now i have 3" blocks with the bags running less pressure and i am far more happier.

The pictures were taken prior to everything being buttoned up and tightened...they are actually more verticle than those portray, however my batteries died towards the end of the install. As for the harshness, I think you're mistaken as I have encountered no difference in ride on or off the road, and speed bumps are actually more pleasant.

I don't think i could be mistaken, i have the ride rite system for over a year now. My opinion on the system was just as yours as now, more biased towards a product you bought and support. Now after my year of ownership i have taken more and more air out and only use them if i haul something in the bed or trailer.

x2 on the setup.

I plan on getting the kit for my lowered 4x2. However I'm just gonna pick up a compact 12 volt air compressor like this (link) and just keep it in the truck and all times.

Alot cheaper solution than the $100 on-board compressor.

Thanks for the write-up on the install!!!
