i love lifted trucks, but isn't this a step in the wrong direction? with ford in the **** house right now, why sell a truck that's only going to get worse gas mileage and costs a ton more to boot? seems people these days are ga-ga over going green, not dropping 65K on a truck that's going to get 10mpg.

Ford has nothing to do with what their dealers do. . if anything it's helping out Ford because people will drive by the dealership and see it. It's a good selling tool. The only dealer around here to sell unmodified vehicles is.. well, there are none.

PS: Ford in the **** house? We're doing better now than the past few months, maybe you've missed how we're about to surpass Toyota in quality especially now after the Tundra is plagued with problems.

I have an update on the truck... It was sold today. I don't know what the final price was, but I do know who bought it. Casey Rabach

well whatever. there's always the same 15 dealer lifted chevy's on the lot by me when i pass them. seems like a bright idea to me

so now you have 15 rolling eggfarts sitting on the lot that no one is going to buy because they're lifted and over priced.

yeah **** house. as in, not selling many vehicles, dropping stock price, work force reductions, etc. so Ford is surpassing Toyota in quality. big deal. they still out sell ford, and that is what i was talking about, not quality.

This article about sums it up:

Maybe your dealer is marketing to the wrong crowd. Dealers here can't keep enough lifted trucks in their inventory.

So quick to judge, you really believe that soon as it's established that Ford has a better quality than Toyota that is still going to hold true? It takes time to get out things like this. Ford is making the right moves in the right direction. If you don't think so, write them a letter.

I think the front end on that trucks looks like **** ran over twice..... Is the Semi truck look in now?

I wouldnt pay anything near that asking price. Once I get in that high $50's+ range I'll just swing over to a sports car...
