Ripped Boot??

i have a ripped boot from a few weeks back off roading.

its not on the cv though, its on i guess the steering assembly. on the left side.

how much would it cost to replace a boot?? i know the boot isnt expensive, its gotta be the labor of dis-assembly of my front end of that area.

You might want to try using some rubber based glue that stays flexable as a temporary fix. I have a tear in a CV boot that I have glued and so far it is holding, just did some offroading this weekend and no grease leaking out yet.
I'm doing it cause it is rather expensive to change the CV boot and when the time comes I'll spend the few extra dollars to replace the entire axle shaft instead of just the boot. The axles only have 30k miles on them and plenty of life as long as can keep the dirt out and the grease in.
