Question Button under steering wheel?

So guys I was messing around with the truck this weekend and noticed a little plunger style button attached to (bear with me while I try to explain) directly below steering wheel mounted closer to pedals, it looks like it has a light on the front and a black plunger button on the back side. Its mounted basically to the plastic where you would be looking up under the dash. So anyways I will try to get pics taken and maybe that will help my description.

But anyone know what I am talking about and if so what is this button for?

I think that is the rear end quick release for emergency use with a brake failure. Hit it at about 80 mph and see if the rear axle drops.

That's the 007 Smoke Screen and Oil Slick option. Very rare.

Oh my god! That's the FoMoCo interest rate adjustment button!
It's for salesmen only!

How many times did you press it?

In all seriousness its probably the remainder of the dealer's security system that is installed on all vehicles on the lot.

That's the VRFMA

or the Variable Rate Fuel Mileage Adjuster, crank it all the way clockwise and you can get up to 79 miles per gallon. Just don't tell anyone. SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

On a serious note:

It should pull out and if your battery ever goes dead you still a small screwdriver in there and it lets you get your truck out of park. Otherwise if the battery is dead there is no way to get it out of park

That button, when depressed, lubricates your muffler bearings. It's a cool feature.
