Rancho Quick Lift

I read about the rancho quick lift shocks for front and they have them for the back. They claim to lift it 2 inches. I want to raise the truck about 2 inches so Im debating to change the shocks out for these if anyone has any info or put a 2 inch spacer in the front and some blocks in the back. I want to keep the factory rake for towing so big of blocks would i need and would the shocks keep the rake? thanks and great forum by the way

i would like to know about the quick lift also, it seems to level out the front, maybe allow you to clear 35's and also replaces the strut with rancho stuff, ill bet its alot more expensive than just putting on a coil spacer... then again, the quick lift comes replaces factory struts, so maybe itll be cheaper to get the quick lift compared to spacer and comparable quality strut (rancho, bilstein)... let me know if you find out anything about the QL.

about the rake, wouldnt you need a 2" bigger rear blocks to keep like factory?

i have the 6" RCD, but in the future i think ill just go with a spacer, quality shocks or rancho QL, 33's, and either a bigger rear block or AAL

i plan to go with the quick lift. looks cool. i also like the idea that it is adjustable. they sell a small panel that you can remote in the cab and then adjust the shock responce (soft or firm).

very cool

I mean, it says 1.25 to 2.5 inches on the front. I love the factory ride and I dont want it stiff as hell in the front for the 2 inch lift, I wonder if it will lift it AND allow u to put it on a softer setting...if anyone has any info? Im gonna put a bigger block in the back to keep the rake. I heard spacers are ok and everyone has them but they are bad for the ball joints, bad for offroading and can cause problems. How many street miles are factory shocks good for by the way? I have 54,000 on my 04' and it still rides nice but the shocks are factory.

Here's a link:

It says you reuse the stock coil spring and mount though.

it doesn't allow you to raise or lower the truck from inside the cab. the adjustment control adjusts the shock responce to change the ride from inside the cab. if you get this feature you have to change all 4 shocks though....if i understand correctly you can adjust the two back and two front shocks (as a set). see the link below................

Rancho Quick Lifts for your sweet F150

Im ordering a set of the Quick lifts front and rear for my 2005 SC XLT 4X4. Figure it will help with my larger 18 inch factory rims that are on my truck, and the Toyo MT tires I have on order. Talked to 2 guys that have them and both love them and like adjusting the ride to make is a tad softer. Rancho says on the 9000 series a shock setting of a 6-7 is about the same as the settings in a 5000 series shock, so I think I will set mine at about a 4-5 to start and then play with them esp with the snow we got already, and the wonderful scenery its giving up here. That way its a tad softer on the ride since the roads are kinda frozen, yet should still keep the tires down on the road for good traction. I will try to get a few picts of the after look when I get them installed. And the price is going to be cheaper than just getting good shocks and the daystar 1 inch kit.

Thanks and later

Kevin

well, that is not a bad price. Esp when you consider the price for the standard harsh riding Rancho RS 5000 to be around 110-120 each for the front and 60-70 for the rear. the place on Ebay I found that I am planning to order from this week is SPORTZTRAILERS and are $319.99 a pair on ebay. They have a website also which has pricing about 5-10% less than ebay. Check it out. Hope this helps.

You might want to look around a little more...this website has the RS5000 for $43 a piece for both front and rear:

Are those the right ones however... There are 2 different ones listed for the f150 I have found out. The strut one that we need on the 4x4 standard w/o lift kit is over $100 everywhere I have looked.

Per Rancho here are the shocks for a non lifted 2005 4X4 SC:

RS9000X
front - RS99767
rear - RS99286

RS5000
front - RS5767
rear - RS5286

Also in the RS9000XL series we offer a quicklift unit which basically lifts the front end about two inches using a new strut with a higher up the body spring seat. Basically your are getting the lift out of the strut and not a spacer.
You can combine the quicklift in the front and RS5000 in the rear. The
RS5000 will be about setting 6 -7 when comparing to the adjustable shocks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
