I'm still undecided on leaving mine on or taking them off. The one thing I like about my OEM bars are that they are the smaller 4" bars. I've got 2 small kids, so it makes it easy for them to get in.

I agree with hivoltagefx4. I too have been considering removing mine, but haven't come to a decision. Plus, I have a toddler and having them there helps him get in and out.

If it'll sway any decisions, I might be willing to take a set of flat, rectangular, chrome OEM nerf bars for a SCab off your hands.

MC2912, I'm sure you get this all the time, but I'll trade my truck for that lady friend of yours.

No, seriously...

I know I want to get some tires, but I'm not sure If I want to stay with my stock 18's or buy some 20's. I dont want to buy some tires for my 18's then end up buying some 20" rims later on and be stuck with an extra set of tires and down 1k dollars.

On lowered trucks they definitely need to come off, but personally I like the look of the nerf bars better. I will admit though they look much better on lifted trucks.

I usually like nerfs / step bars on taller trucks. But even if your rig was lifted, I think it was just too much Chrome. That Chrome package is a bit hard to take on a silver truck.

I saw an older guy with an xlt black sc with the chrome package and probably every aftermarket chrome accesory you can get out of a catalog. OMG it made me sick. Even the vent visers were chrome. He had Roush hood scoop, antena, mirrors, headlight covers, wiper arms, door handle buckets, license plate frame, front tow hooks, fender flares, rear tail light brush guard all in chrome and he thought it looked great.

Funny thing is that I too saw a newer black Screw with the same stuff. The person had chrome stuff I didn't even know existed. I have a silver truck as well and I just can't see any more chrome on it...the bumpers, grill surround and headlights are fine with me. My bars look more like polished aluminum than actual chrome, finish-wise. I eventually want to get a bull bar for the front, but even then, I plan to get a black one. I think black seems to flow very well on silver trucks, but that's my opinion.
