Castor/Camber Kits

Just got some new rubber put on and wanted to get an alignment done. I have an XLT scab with the 8' box.. and the truck was just a few inches too long to fit on the alignment lift. SO after calling around the local Ford dealers, the first few said they could not do it on their lifts either.. Finally find one that says they can do it.. great, I ask the guy whats the charge, he tells me "89 bucks, but we find that a lot of F150's need the castor/camber kit.. so it may be more...blah blah blah" .. Never been to this dealer before and now I got the bad feeling like these guys are a bunch of BS'ers trying to pry more money from my wallet......I went from 245/70 17's to 265/70 so no real significant difference.. Is it a common thing for these trucks to need a kit to align them? I can see if you did some suspension altering.. but..What kind of crap is that?

not sure why you would need an alignment with the bigger tires..

did you put a leveling kit or anything?

No Lift.. no change in suspension at all... The tires I took off wore slightly more on the inside. Figured it would be a good thing to get an alignment with the new tires..

Curious if people who are getting their trucks aligned with stock suspension are needing those kits..

you shouldnt need the CC plates, if the factory can align the vehicle without them, so should the dealer...
