Got my hands on a FX4 Cluster!!!

I finally found a FX4 Cluster on ebay for only $217 with shipping included! Brand new out of a 2007 FX4. I cant wait to get it into my 2005 STX. I'm gonna shoot myself if I have to look at that boring cluster anymore! Now all I have to do is get the cluster and my PCM programmed. I have to go to the dealer for this, correct? And does anyone know how much the programming runs?

I cant find any dealership that will program my mileage into the FX4 cluster. The only place that I found that is willing to program my PCM will charge me $100, but they cant do the mileage! I guess the only way to get it programed is to send it out to Ford which no one is willing to do. Can anyone help me out!?!? All I have to say is WTF DUDE!!!

good luck with getting your PCM reflashed with the different cluster. I hope it works out though it will be difficult due to the issue of having to reflash every memory holding processor on the chip that records mileage....i.e..trans module, abs module...and of course the PCM.

All I have to say is, it's much less stressful to fully research a mod such as this, check out the end-to-end feasability and Total costs/effort involved, then once all the ducks are lined up - pull the trigger.

With that said - Good luck... it appears difficult, perhaps more costly than it's worth, but doable.

Well I just found out a bit of more information. Talked to a really helpfull mechanical at a local Ford dealership. He said that the 2007 FX4 clusters are different than the 2004-2006. They wont work on my 2005 at all and will shut my truck down for 30 min if I plug it in and try to start my truck. Also if I wanted to have it installed the anti theft keys need to be replaced ($200), having the cluster programmed ($350), and the PCM programed ($200). So anyone want to buy a 2007 FX4 Cluster for $250? hahaha Shoot me now!
