anybody blacked out the chrome fender emblems?

i'm in a de-chrome mode....

I painted all the chrome trim to black on my BMW a few years back and it looks a ton better. Has anyone done this to (or even seen) the emblems on their F150's? Photos?

I found this website back in 2004 when I was on bed rest from a broken back. I got used to posting so much, I guess.

I did something a little different with mine. I reversed the lettering by cleaning the badge and then taping off the lettering before painting black. A little time consuming, but cool look. Here is a crappy pic I took of the truck with my dog sitting in front.

Here is a close-up pic of the emblem I took right after installing the 325/50/22 Nitto TG's (before painted Lariat flares).

More pics in gallery if you are interested.

Sorry, it's hard to imagine, but even tho I own close to $40k worth of vehicles, I'm too cheap to spend a couple of hundred on a digital camera. I bought one for my fiance tho, so maybe I can borrow it off of her sometime and snap some pics. All of the pics in my gallery were taken with a disposable camera and scanned in, so that's the best quality that I have at this time.
