There are some major things that have been keeping me from doing a body lift, and I was wondering what other folks were doing to address these issues.

#1. Electrical, and fluid lines. Extended, rerouted, or no problem?
#2. Bumpers and airbags. How do body lifts impact those? I know the bumpers get relocated, but how?
#3. Brush Guards / Winch Mounts. I would assume a custom winch mount / brush guard would be in order. That gets expensive... But might be worth it for me. I LOVE the look of my Hunter Brush guard, but it lacks winch mount capability. I am considering having it used as part of a Winch Mount assembly, and having it custom built by an off road shop near me.
#4. Receiver Hitch. My Curt Hitch bolts to the rear bumper, not sure why, but it does. How do I deal with that?
#5. On a lot of older trucks, body lifts introduced an enormous amount of sway. Is that true with these trucks?
#6. Gaps. (Gap guards I know...)
#7. Fugly exposed frame rails. Nerfs help take the eye away from the frame, but still a concern...
#8. How hard is it to actually install a body lift?
#9. Can I run 35x12.50s with a body lift and 2.5" leveling kit?
#10. Body lift does nothing to raise height of air intake. Are CAIs flexible enough to handle rerouting to deal with a body lift?

 

1. most body lifts i've seen done dont require brake line extending
2. there arn't any airbag sensors in the bumpers
8. i've read somewhere that you need to disconnect your radiator hoses ,so basically yoou will need to flush your radiator to do the body lift
10. my aem intake probably isn't

 

I did the body lift and love it,
#1. no problem
#2. Bumbers are relocated with new bracets
#4. Kit comes with blocks to lower your hitch to allow your rear bumper to raise- some cutting and welded needed
#5. I have not noticed any more sway
#7. Just like you said Running boards just about cover it all, I dont hardly notice mine at all
#8. Install wasn't too bad took me about 3 days doing it in my spare time, just worked a couple hours each night
#9. Yes, thats exactly what i am running, no rub whats so ever

Are there any others besides PA for the 04+ F150?

 

I've never seen any other brand, period.

.. unless we're talking about the hockey puck brand.

 

if that stuff all worries you, why not just get a 4" suspension lift?
