Taking center cap through airport terminal?

Hey guys. Good morning to you all.

I have a question.

Do you think airport security would allow me to take a center cap onto the airplane? Or just keep in my bag?

I flying to el paso, tx today and while I am there I will be seeing my buddy Rigo who owns Rigo's graphics.

He is going to create some FX2 overlays/decals for my center caps and steering wheel.

Do you think I could get one through airport security ok, or would it pose a problem?

Thanks.

Have a great Friday!

I think they're plastic, no? Why not just put it in your bag and see what happens? I can't see ANY reason why they would disallow such an item onto a plane, unless they were just having that kind of day.

It's plastic, just tuck it in your pants and walk through the metal detector with it.

That may sound like a good idea, but if one security guard sees a strange shaped item under your shirt, you may get tackled and/or surrounded by men in fatigues with automatic weapons.
