CST spindles
CST spindles
The CST spindles are fully machined right? A lot stronger then the procomps right? Would it be possible to buy the CST spindles and put them on my truck because there is no going back now and I want a truck I can beat. I am reinforcing my drop brackets (cross bracing) and now my weakest link will be my cast spindle. What are my options I have the unball uppers so they should work with CSTs or rize. Could anyone get me come close up shots of their cst or rize spindle? I worry about the quality of procomps casting
I cant I had to cut out my lower diff/cross member tab, if not I would have went long travel so long ago. Ill never get my diff right again without paying some big bucks to get a custom rear cross memebr/ diff tab. and untail a few months ago the only place was jd and I was never fond of using the stock knuckle with a ket your supposed to beat. Now camburg and richerraing has one and both use new fabed knuckles.
I sure wish I had a 2wd I would have that camburg 7.0 kit overnighted to me I would have it so quick. Ill take serious offers to trade for a 4x2
. My truck has only used 4wd once up north and in the dunes i run it just cause its there other then that I would just have a good locker in my 4x2. i really cant think of any other time I have used 4x4

I actually just emailed rize about a week ago asking for the part number of their spindles and if the sold it and they said they dont sell them seperately so I dont know where you would buy them?
.
Im interested in some rize spindles if I can find them for the right price.

Camburg or Richer Racing dont have long travel kits for a 4x4. Camburg only has it for 2x4s right now. Im sure they could make a custom one off kit but your looking at like 10-12k after its all said and done. And the last time I asked Jonny at Richer he said they still havent released the 4x2 LT kit due to still testing the original.
If you really want to do this right. Then I would take your truck to JD Fab and have them refab your missing crossmeber and install their 4x4 kit. You will not be disapointed. Awesome work and they stand behind what they do. Everything else your talking about doing is a good idea but all the time your putting into your lift kit it still will have its weak points. If your gonna beat this truck you need to bring down the center of gravity and widen up the track width to make more stable at speed. This is something you will not get from you lift kit.

richer racing has it up on their site and camburg is going to make a 4x4 knuckle for their 4x2 LT kit here soon I talked to jerry about it. That what i would love to do just drop it off and have LT, but I want to do the install myself ( i like doing this stuff) and I couldnt afford to have them put it on as well as buy the kit, If i could find someone to buy all ive got now I would seriously consider going lt
You might want to call Richer about their kit because they also have the mid-travel kit listed but havent even made a prototype yet. Good to hear Camburg is coming out with a 4x4 spindle. Should be nice.
Like you said I would look into selling your truck as is and pick up a 2x4. There are just so many more options for dezert trucks and doing a 4x4 long travel the right way is extremly costly. Either way good luck the build!
