4.10 gear problem

I did a search but couldnt find anything, if this has been posted before, im sorry. i also didnt know where to put this so i thought here would be the best place.

So i recently went ahead and swaped my 3.55s with 4.10s in my 2005 F150. Everything worked great and i was really happy. Then after the 500 miles was up i had the fluid changed and the additive put in for the LSD. About 200 miles later i was towing my lawncare trailer and came to a stop. i turned left while accelerating, and i heard chattering and my entire truck started vibrating. At first i thought it was the bigger tires i put in, but nope not the problem. I went by gateway today and had them change the fliud again, but it didnt help at all. it chatters only when i stop and then accelerate around a corner, so i think its the tires tryin to rotate, and the LSD not letting them.

Anybody who knows whats wrong, or more importantly how to fix it please let me know!!!!!

Clutch packs..... You sure to LSD fluid was correct? Someone here probably has a better idea but take it to dealer and try to get the cluth packs replaced under warranty if you still have any. Maybe they'll be nice. Then every so often drive in tight figure 8's to open up the diff. for fluid to get in.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will give a better explanation bc I'm full of very limited information but in your rear diff. the clutch packs open and close to allow limited movement of one tire vs the other around corners. I'm guessing the fluid isn't getting in and lubing which fried them. Anyway I believe the only solution is replacement.

The worst thing the dealer could do is tell you no they won't cover it and you say thanks and leave. They can't void your whole warranty. It may be worth a shot. May even be worth trying a few dealers and see who bites. I used that technique with my old modded Mustang fairly successfully.

well just to update i took it to ford and they told me 900 bucks to replace the clutches in my LSD or let them replace my aftermarket ring and pinion with the factory one and just replace the entire rear end. i told them to shove it and went to Randy's ring and pinion and got the clutches for like 90 bucks. then took it to the shop that did the r&p swap and they replaced them for under 300. works perfectly now....petter find some wood to knock now tho.
