Towing

I took my truck 2005 2wd on it's first road trip and it was a dream to drive with a trailer. In the two+ years I have had the truck, I have never had it on an extended trip. I thought it would struggle with all the talk on the site about being underpowered, but it did great. The trailer only weighed about 5000 lbs., so it was not too heavy.

I agree, it seems as most on this site want the truck to perform as if its is unloaded when towing. It is just simply not going to happen that way. I had around 8-9k on mine and was very pleased. Was able to merge into traffic without holding people up and easily maintain 65+ on small to mild grades. Overall I was very pleased, since then I have upgraded to 20" rims andf 33" tires. So a couple power mods are in order before I tow that much again
