I just put a Ford low profile bug deflector on the truck tonight, and it looks good but i think it would look better without the f150 logo. if anyone has done this can u please give me afew tips as i am afraid chemicals may fade the plastic. it looks like it is silk screened on, it is not a decal. thanks for yr help boys

Used to do this to my big drink jugs at work, because we weren't allowed to take "logo" mugs in with us on service calls.

Had a friend in the copier business, the belt cleaner they use to clean the big flat WHITE doccument belt took the logo off the mugs without damaging the plastic, not sure what it would do to a bug shield, but it's a thought.

Mine isn't a Ford, but "Goo Gone" on a soft rag took the silk screened logo right off. I have also use lacquer thinner to take them off without harming the plastic, but it's a lot more aggressive so I would recommend the Goo Gone first.

I tried the GooGone and a plastic putty knife with little effect. so i guess i'll try thinner as a last resort or i'll just have to live with it

Why not just paint it, a rattle can would work perfectly. Black, or the color of your truck.

My last truck had a ventshade brand bug guard in it and I took off the whilte letters with acetone, quickly rub once or twice to get it off and follow with a coat of wax. Rub to hard or to long and it will damage the plastic.
