Well the trucks (mama,s '07) is back in the shop.
First of all the Tonnue cover came in so we fiqure we'd kill 2 birds with one stone.
We took it in Saturday to have the cover installed and this shimmey that seems to be persitant even though they already spun balanced the tires, finding one of the perrielli's out of round so much it had to be replaced.
Well they could'nt fix the shimmy after the cover install and wanted to keep it until Monday so one of the senior techs could check it.
My wife said fine and wanted to get some stuff out of it.
When she saw the topper she freaked. It was white in comparesson to the trimetallic sand clearcoat the truck is.
It had dirt embedded in the paint and all kinds of knicks and such.
She had to walk out of the shop to smoke a ciggarette, which for my wife is a bad sign. Because when the ciggeratte get's to the end, she'll be just getting started.
Anyway long story short, as of now they still can't figure the shimmey in the front end and the topper supplier is doing damage control and getting another topper quickly.
i should have left her in the Mariner and held out for the Lightening. Which I hear is going to be in the extended cab style.

They need to road force balance ALL the tires, not just the front. A rear tire out of spec can cause the steering wheel nibble. I know, replacing one of the rears after finding it was out of spec fixed mine.
