Here's a video of the truck hitting almost 80 mph on a back stretch of the dunes.

NICE!! Man, I dont know what it is about your truck, but I freakin love it! What kind of lift does it have? Is it a special edition model? HD Headlights? I was thinking of my next truck being that drk blue shade, but I love the color of yours! Plus it'd be easier to keep clean. The rims (what kind?), BFG Muds and skid plate are a perfect combo!

Imperial Sand Dunes in CA by the way.

Love Silver Lake dunes. I hope I can get in at least one more trip this year.

Thanks for the compliment. It's a 2007 Luxury Package FX4 (Job 2). The painted mirrors, handles, grille, and FX2 headlights are part of the luxury package.

It only has the 6" ProComp lift that everyone around here bashes for being a POS, but I added Bilstein 5100's in the front. I've been out to the Silver Lake dunes for eight weekends in the past three months and have just over 360 hard high speed miles on the sand. The front skid plate is bashed in from jumping the truck and landing too front heavy on the front end. This is a heavy truck and I shouldn't really be jumping it at all, but it seems to handle it fairly well and I'm prepared to fix whatever breaks.

The wheels are forged Centerlines.

Me too... going back again next weekend.

Also, since you've been there you can testify to the fact that most people don't drive nearly as fast as I was in the video I linked.

Thanks for the info. You seem to have more clearance inbetween the wheel well and the tire. Are those 35s?

Yeah they're 35x12.50r17's on 17x9 w/ 4.5bs wheels. That picture is kind of deceiving because the truck isn't on level ground. When it's on level ground, the clearance between the front and rear is about the same.
