Question Interior door panel switch lights

What switches light up on the drivers and passenger doors? I think I have a few that I think have burnt out. On both doors only the up and down switches for the windows light up. The window lock, door lock and power mirror control do not light up. Are they supposed to? Thanks

My door lock on the drivers door does not light up, but it does on the passanger door. The window switch on the passanger door seems to be acting up too.
It appears that the power mirror switch should light up...anyone else?

I noticed the other night that it appears my driver's side lock/unlock switch does light up, but very dimly (residual light from the window switches?), and that the window lights were all on.

Now I have considering replacing all of my interior lights with LED's so I've paid particular attention recently to my interior lighting and noticed that my front passenger door's lock/unlock cuts in and out, as well as my over head switch for the power rear window! I drove really slowly around a parking lot last night and watched these switches light up and go out at random intervals.

Does anyone know if there is a long term fix for this? Re-soldering the connections perhaps?

I just dropped it off at the dealer. It's time for the 30K service, I'm getting a few things looked at while it's there and this is one of them. I'll post the results when I get it back.

I'll be looking forward to hear what they have to say!

On my truck the contacts wern't soldered so the lights sould go on and off as the truck bounced around. But a good whack to the door panel would light em back up. And the new one I bought was soldered so that must have a been a problem with the early setups.

As far as doing a complete LED int light swap search for a thread on here by me. I think its called LED project or something like that. Has pics of the switch panels and stuff and how I did my swap.

Do any of you know if the power slider switch is supposed to light up? I thought it did, but it isn't lit anymore.
I've had a few of the original switches changed out for new ones already, so it must be pretty common for them to go out. I did notice however that when you lock the windows, the lights on the switches on all doors but the drivers side will go out, so no one can mess with the windows.

Looking at the wiring schematics manual for my 2005 F150 super crew here are what switches illuminate and what ones dont. The schematics show them as LED's.

Power window switches: yes
Power door locks: NO
Drivers, power window lock out for all other doors: NO
Power mirror control: NO
Power sliding window switch: yes
Moon roof switch: yes

Your manual is wrong then. Did you even check your truck? The power door lock switches do light up!

I'm probably adding nothing here...but the power mirror switch does not light up...and if you have the window lockout turned on.....it turns the lights off on all the other window switches other than driver's side front.

Dang these switches. I just had to have the passanger window and the sunroof switch replaced today. They would only light up sometimes. Now tonight I noticed the rear slider switch is dim I guess I'll have that one replaced on my nexted service visit. Then, I only have 4 left that are original. Hopefully they fail before my warranty runs out
