Thank's for all the help guys. I retested everything, rewired everything, and regrounded everything. I grinded my ground better, and re did the power. I don't know what it was but it works now.

Total Cost- $16

Man I love my job.

The far left one's to switch between factory horn and train horn, and the one lighted up is for the reverse lights. The other two are just there to make it look nice until I add more stuff.

It's to turn off the reverse sensors. When your backing up a trailer it's annoying to hear that thing just flat lining.

Try backing out on a college campus on a busy street, talk about annoying!

Could you get us some more pics in the daytime of the brackets you used to mount the lights. Also some more specifics on how you did the wiring? I would like to add some sort of lighting to the back of my truck as well. Those sure look good.

I got lucky mounting them. As you can see in the picture where the leaf spring is secured on the bracket there was a oval cut out there. I just put some big washers on either side and tightened them down. The other side is reversed so I just had to drill one small hole for the right.

I only had to run one wire to the cab. I followed all the wiring for the rear lights up to the far left of the cab. I found a small gromet there and ran it up into that grove that has all the wiring in it. From there straight to my switches. I only had a total of about 3 hr's doing all this with all my problems.

Cool, looks like they are going to work out slick.

I don't have any switches yet in my truck. Can you walk me through on how to wire from the lights to the switch to the fuse panel. I have read a bunch of old posts and they all talk about inline fuses and relays. I guess I really don't understand what the purpose of a relay is all about. I have a basic knowledge of circuits, but I'm not putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.

Can you clear this up for me?

Hi.

Have a peek in the tech article section on this site:

https://www.f150online.com/tech/index.html

Look in the "So you wanna add electrical chit to yer truck" and " Complex Control Arrangements for Electrical Accessories" articles. There's a relay primer in there, diagrams, and a lot of other useful stuff. Should answer all of yer questions. Okay?

For the OP - good job, but fix that dang hangin' wiring! What's yer name, Pat?

I did something similar but used a 5" round light on the drivers side and wired it into the trailer wiring. Its always on when the backup lights are on. Helps a bunch at night with tinted window.
