Hi all - I've searched the threads for hours reading a lot and having found much in the way of what I'm looking to find out.

I have an '05 Lariat Screw and want to change out some of the interior parts with KR ones. For example:

1) Center console lid
2) Door insert panels
3) Dash instrument panel cover

Basically, I want to add KR accents to my Lariat interior to have a Med Pebble (tan)/KR Castano appearance. Other than trying to track down Ford part #s and order from a dealer or parts supplier I thought I'd toss the question out to see if anyone had some suggestions. I doubt many KR owners would be getting rid of anything, so right now I'm guessing my only options are new part orders, eBay or salvage yards. I'm willing to trade out any of the above, but again, doubtful anyone would be interested.

The stuff shows up on Ebay fairly often...thats your best bet. As for a Lariat/KR hybrid interior, I am not sure how good that would look.

 

Thanks. Well, I've been looking @ the leather stuff ranch_it_out makes and personally think the tan in the Lariat & the Castano color would compliment each other pretty well. Considering the KR interior has tan as well except for the leather accents & seats, I'm looking at creating the same excluding the seats. If I were to go all-out I might look at getting some KR leather & having the middle section of the Lariat seats done in that (sort of like the two tone seats in the '08 Limited), but don't know if that's really even possible or would be crazy expensive.

Bottom line for me is: if I like it then that's what matters. Certainly it's not something everyone would like, but neither is every mod. To each their own!

This is an example - it's an F150 KR, but notice the tan/Costano combination - exclude the seats & I think it'd still look great in a Lariat.

a bit off topic but just my .02 here, that pic of the KR interior reminded me, but can't understand why ford insists on that stupid gray accents ( and a good amount of it ) on all their interiors, even though you get one that is 'supposed to be' tan interior. That is why I didn't buy a KR back in 05 and one of the reasons why I never 'really' liked my 05 lariat. Looks great on the black or ds gray trucks though..

 

Looks good kdds - I'd probably go that route on the exterior if my Lariat was two tone and had the color bumpers/valance vs. chrome.

Totally agree on the gray/silver metallic console & dash trim...makes no sense if you don't have a black or gray interior. You could get wood dash kits to cover the dash trim, but stuck w/the console unless you tried painting it. Know some have done that with Expy console mods, but those I've seen were painted gray/silver as well.

Suppose you could get some KR or tan leather and have someone custom wrap the console.
