Angry 325/65/18 Nitto TG did not fit

The Nitto Terra Grappler 325/65/18 on factory Rims and 2" Autospring did NOT fit. Tire rubbed on the upper ball joint. I have seen pictures of these fitting. Maybe the 2.5 AS changes the angle? or maybe the suspension differs slightly between the models/years.

These tires looked awesome, the fenderwell was filled nicely, and there was not any rubbing/trimming anywhere. The only place was the upper ball joint.

I really like the look of 35"s, but 12.9 wide just did not work. Does anyone know of another A/T tire that is around 35" and is less then 12.9 wide?

I want to stay with the factory rims but get as much height out of the tire.

Thanks

good to know, I went with 305x65x18 BFG AT's because I wasn't sure of the 325 with the 2" AS. No rubbing at all that I noticed but I wanted to go with 325's next round..

BFG A/T 305/65/18 are 33.7 inches tall, thats pretty close, also the Cooper Discoverer STT comes in a 275/70/18 which is essentially a 11.0X33.35" tire

I could of told you that. When people say ''with minor rubbing'' thats what they mean. And I dont think thats minor lol. When I put my 35s on my truck with the 2.5 it did the same thing when I turned it all the way to the right or left. So I went for 33s and they look good on my truck. So get 33s

Minor rubbing? Yeah i could deal with some rubbing on the lower arm, etc when turning. But not on the ball joint with the wheels strait forward while driving down the road. Blow out!

I've read that the 325/60/18 Nitto TG will fit. But 12.99 compared to 12.83, its still going to be close.

another option would be to buy rims with less backspacing, then they will fit.

you should have kept the tires and put on some mbmotoring blitz wheels. 18x8 u wouldnt of had any rubbing cuz of the back space of the wheels. i had them with my leveling kit.

What about 1/2" spacers. That should be enough to clear the 35"s.

Thoughts? Safety?

If not, then will the 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers fit? I have read that they will. Could someone please verify this before i ask the same tire shop to order me another set of tires.

I like the factory rims, therefore im going to keep them.

Thanks

They do on my truck with the Helo Maxx 6, 325-60-18 is perfect with no rubbing at all.

The shop just called and suggested the Toyo AT 285/75/18. I have not searched the forums to read up on them yet.

I am considering those tires as well. Should fit fine since they are only 11.2" wide. Toyo AT's are great tires too.

Post some pics if you get them!
