just was putting another grill on the grill thread since the first 2 pages were about the Roush grill, never said it wasnt a nice grill, its very nice but also cost as much as my upper n lower. Down here every f150 has a billet/roush look alikes if not the real deal, ive seen one lifted truck with a speed grill in 3 years i've owned mine n I hang out with 3 other guys with F150s, FX2, Billet, ebay replaceble billet n guess what stands out more at the shows, yes the speed. Another thing about the roush, doesnt the same look alike grill come with the 07 chrome package??

Be differnt get a mesh or veritcal billet. Dnt try trning a F150 into a roush unless you buy a roush, its like buying a 6cyl flareside with a svt lightning kit.

Let me say it again "the roush is a nice grill", I just was showing something different then an OEM..

I've been waiting for my Street Scenes Speed Grill for almost 5 months now. I don't know whats wrong with those guys. Maybe they don't know that you need to actually get the parts to the customer for them to be happy with your product...

The grill is nice BUT it was a pain in the *** to install !

It did not match the mounting holes and ended up breaking the mounts to the grill surround. They wouldn’t take it back or give me a refund so had to improvise and make it fit.

I had to fab mounts up out of scrap aluminum and epoxy them to the grill surround and then make backing plates so that the actual grill would attach correctly. It took me a complete day to do all of it. I am happy with the way it turned out but it was not worth the price I paid and the extra time I had to spend to get it right.

Problem is that it seems like everything you get anymore doesn’t fit right and you have to customize it to get it to fit and look right.

Tom

I have a black 2005 XLT grill. It wasn't easy to come by, so no trades.

I would beg to differ. The Roush F-150 is nothing more then a package. If you go to their site you can look through their different packages (IE Roush Sport, Stage 1, 2, 3, etc) and see whats all included. The dealer does nothing more then put these packages onto the F-150s at MSRP and then jack the price up. You get the same product if you buy the package off Roush's site and install it yourself.

I like the FX2 grille personally..........

so i bought a carriage works grille, and me and my buddy started workin on it right around dusk, we didnt figure it would take that long. two hours later we are 2/3 of the way done and we still havent finished. so im leavin my truck at my gfs apt and walkin to the otherside of campus to my apt to shower and try to figure out what the heck is wrong with this grille. the directions dont make much sense, as most directions dont. we cant figure out how the grille will stay on tight. anybody come across the same bs as me with the carriage works or any other billet grille?
