K&N Air Filter

How are you guys & gals cleaning your K&N Air Filter? It is the one that replaces the orgianal.

Just buy the K and N cleaning kit. Comes with cleaner and oil to re-lube your air filter. Just follow the directions in the kit and you should be fine. I dont recommend any other way.

I've never had to clean and/or re-lube a K&N replacement air filter.

A wipe down and gentle blow with compressed air has always worked well for me.

Have cleaned mine many times, spray on the cleaner, let sit about 15-20 minutes, rinse with warm water, set it outside to dry, apply new oil and your off to the races. I do prefer the spray on oil over the squirt bottle.

while we are talking about K&N on a newer thread...has anyone had any of the brackets break on them? Ive had 2 break...its bracket T if you look at the parts list but its the basically the support bracket under the MAF sensor.? And BTW I use that K&N recharge kit that they sell.
