Since it an electric horn... did you get it submerged in water?! But I am thinking it is more along the lines that it got crap in it from when you went mudding. I'd suggest getting some compressed air and blowing it out... if you don't have compressed air, try cleaning it with some water. If that doesn't work, you might consider getting a new horn, or get a compressor with some nice loud truck/train horns.

Might be some water in it... give it a few days to dry out. You might get lucky.

I had this happen on my SUV... one day I went through like 2' of water and my horn sounded like this for a day or two... then it sounded normal.

Take the horn off and spin it around so as to direct the water to the opening. In high school I drove a cavalier... one time we got a ton of rain and I drove through high water and the stock horn died. When I took it off to install an air horn it was full of water.

If yours still makes some sound, it probably has water in the chamber but not enough to kill the electronics. Dump out that water and it will probably sound find.

BTW - our trucks have 2 horns mounted side-by-side. Perhaps one of them died from water damage???
