Power Folding Mirrors
Power Folding Mirrors
I've been searching old threads and found a couple good ones on this. I really need to do this, the new garage is a bit tight to get into. What I don't need is to pay $200 for a LH and $172 for a RH OEM mirrors.
The truck is too clean to try junkyards and risk getting faded or scratched or generally beat up mirrors. For S&G I looked on ebay and found these although I'm skeptical they are "power folding". Anyone try and add motors to their existing mirrors? I've got to find a low cost way, $250 or less, to get this done. If not I'm gonna get a stick with a padded hook on it to pull the passenger side mirror in when backing into the garage with no passenger, figure that'll cost me very little.

May be ghetto, I prefer redneck engineering, but to each his own.
Dishing out $500 just to get my mirrors to fold is not exactly what I want to do with my budget at the moment. I've got no need for heated, turn signals and puddle lamps, just need the convenience of push button folding. I'm 6'7" and got long arms, but they're just not long enough to stretch over to pull in the passenger mirror. I've got a house to mod now...the $500 will be better spent on those projects, so the truck is getting the short end of the stick for a bit.
