04 performance Mods

Hey guys,

I have a 04 5.4l V8 screw and for performance all it has is a magnaflow dual exhaust and a drop in k and n. I want more power. What should I do next? Cold air intake? If so which one and wheres the cheapest place to get it? What else can you do to these things for more power?

Mike

Check out www.VMPTuning.com and get a custom tuned Xcal2. This will be the best thing you can do for your truck by far. The S&B cold air intake is also a great choice otherwise you could get the AF1. Also E-Fans wouldn't be a bad idea.

It's going to be the biggest gain from a "bolt on" that you're going to see. Not to mention that all of your other mods will benefit from it.

PS: It's a tuner, not a chip!

Look into getting a tuner. They can do wonders for our trucks. I personally have a Edge Evo. Most of the time I leave it set in stage 2.

I also have custom dual exhaust. Right now my truck feels pretty good. I'm still looking to find an intake that I like to complete the package.

Hope that helps,

Brian

Call Justin, its a custom tuned Xcal2.

You can also get the S&B from www.inmotionperf.com for $230 but a lot of places will price match.

Tuner:

... with MT's tuning.

Intake:

.. the 3.5" is the top performer - you'll need custom tuning for it

Fair's fair, wabbit LOL!

Bama/Junses is good, they're known to be on the conservative/reliable side though.

I was just trying to start a fight.

Most tuners are capable of tuning a mostly stock ride.

I love my TP tunes, AF1, Maggie SI/SO. Yeah, it's performance alright. Just wish I had a good shop close to me.

The group buy was way too good to pass up. Most standard mods shouldn't be a problem for any reputable tuner.
