There's your problem... Your oil cap is on upside down!

Sometimes it helps to have another's eye check things out.

Have you fixed this problem,? I know it's an old thread but I found it searching and it's the exact problem I am having now. New batt new ford alt. Install went smooth and my old alt was good before I took it out, I was just upgrading to a 130 amp alt. When I start my truck the light is off, then after say 50 seconds or so it comes on. My voltage reading is good too.

It's confusing the crap out of ,e cause it's charging fine truck is running fine just the stupid light stays on. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
