Where did you mount auxillary switches?
I just got in the first of several auxiliary lights I'm going to mount on the truck. The one thing I haven't figured out yet is where to place the switches inside the cab. I've got an FX4 with the center console, which doesn't leave me a lot of dash area. I'm looking at two spots, the location the three switches would go for the Lariat trip computer (although they are small slots for aftermarket switches); and between the cig lighter and the parking assist button. I need to get three in though, which is going to be hard in either location.
Where did you mount switches for your accessories?

I'm going to be mounting my aux switches inside my center console. I'm going to put them in the front upper right hand corner. There's plenty of room for the wires and I plan on putting in rocker switches.
anyone try to use the info/setup/reset button section? I pulled one of those switches out and took a look inside... the switch output is a variable resistance so there isn't a 12V on, 12V off type deal... any of you's electrical gurus that have an idea?
I maounted my offroad lights switch in between the headlight switch and the air vent ont the right side. plenty of room for wires and the switch, when I do my fogs Ill put that switch on the left side. sorry no pic. wifey sent the camera swimming this weekend.will post some shortly if needed.
I was thinking of a place to mount some switches for a while. Finally started taking stuff apart and came up with an idea. I was looking for something solid, easy to access, and looked like part of the truck. I decided to take out my ashtray since to me it was the most useless part of my truck. Got a .22 piece of clear Lexan from Lowes cut it to fit in the ashtray's spot, which I believe was about 3" x 9" if I can remember right. Drilled 4 small holes into the plastic behind where the ashtray was (that way it can be covered up easily if I ever want to put the ashtray back). Used 8-32 speed clips and SS cap screws to attach my panel after I painted it black. Switches are toggle switches with blue LED's and covered them with some chrome toggle switch covers. There are some more pics under the link in my sig.

that looks really good!
I'd probably do mine a little differently but very similar. Good job! What do the switches do?

Thanks guys. Right now I only have one switch in use which is for the KC Slimlites I put behind the grille. I plan to put some flood lights in the rear around the hitch, then probably do some LED's in the interior and maybe behind the grille.
