holy @#$%, again!

ok so as some of you know i had to replace my transmission about a month ago. well today i started my truck up and after about 30 seconds of driving it beeps and says "transmission malfunction" and the o/d off light went flashing. i have 1100 miles on the new tranny.

it turns out that first gear isnt working in drive. i can throw it in low and it works, but in drive it wont engage first gear.

i want to try returning my edge to stock. to return my edge to stock do i just hit "restore defaults" or do i have to do something else??

well i figured out how to re-tune it to stock, and i did. i took the edge out of my truck (it will never go back in). drove around for a bit and its working perfectly. 1st gear works great in drive, every shift is smooth, no flashing o/d lights and no more trans malfunction.

i will never use a canned tuner every again. the edge had somehow disengaged my 1st gear, was sending me trans mafunction signals, and i was worried sick. ontop of that, the droning, the shaking, the clunky shifting. although i liked the power gains, i really cant stand the edge anymore.

now that i returned it to stock programming, is it no longer locked to my truck?? i have all the original packaging and im putting this thing up for sale ASAP.

as soon as i sell the edge im taking that money and getting a troyer tuned xcall2. the reliability on those troyer programs seem to be impecable campared to the edge's programs.

IT only took one time for my Edge to leave my truck where it wouldnt crank before I sold it too. IMO a tune of any kind just isnt worth the risk unless you have a SC or other mods that require a tune.

ya the wait kinda sucks, but hopefully it'll be worth it to finally get it right.

I agree. Once serious enough mods have been completed, a tune is pretty much a MUST, to tie it all together.
