Why do you got the FX4 under the lariat? Isnt the lariat and the FX4 considered on the same lvl except the FX4 comes with a skid plate and supposedly better off road shocks.

The lariat is more luxury, and therefore has more stuff, and a bigger price tag.

If you got a basic fx4 and a basic lariet the lariet would be nicer. Thats why they are ordered that way. If you got a Fx4 with the luxury package and a lariet with the optional skidplates and ls they would be the same truck.

I waited for the weather to be 95+ and I just went outside and pulled them off of my 07 FX2 Sport and it came off with no hassle.

Please don't get the whole "Lariat vs FX4" debate started again. The FX4 is now available with a luxury package that gives you all the features of the Lariat but without all the gingerbread stuff. You know, a truck that is well appointed but still manly too!

I thought of one more great thing about the STX version of the F-150's.

The current aluminum wheels you can get on them now are hands down the best looking Ford has ever offered (at least in my eyes).

I like'em so much I bought a set for my XLT. I mounted some P265/70R17 Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tires on them and I think its a great looking combination. Super smooth and quiet too.

A guy at work bought an 07 STX he has CD, MP3, power windows and those aluminum wheels. To me they look like a 17inch version of an FX4 rim.
He does not have carpet or tinted rear windows. At the time, he wanted the 4.6 and supercab. He was too cheap to get a crew and now he regrets it. He loved my truck when he saw it and still went with an extended cab. It was his personal choice and he'll have to live with it or sell it. He is close to retirement age (5 years or so) and he'll probably live with it.

unless they changed it this year, you could only get the STX with a v6 or the 4.6 v8... they started offering power windows and locks last year
