1st road trip this weekend

Well I decided on Tues evening to take off on Thursday and head to Denver to spend the weekend with some friends. It's about 680 miles one way for me. I changed the oil Wed night with 1299 miles on the truck to Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w20. The only other thing not stock is the Torza cover. I have the 18" rims and 3.55's.

This has to be the quietest and the most comfortable vehicle I have owned to date. The truck ran smooth, not a lot of wind noise and took the crappy potholed roads pretty good. The truck would kick down going up through some of the higher passes, but that was expected.

Gas mileage in my opinion was better than I expected with all of the elevation changes. Leaving here on a full tank of gas, my first tank averaged 18.74 all highway, second tank was 18.49 with about 90% highway, the third tank was 18.23 all highway and I am sitting just above 1/2 with 220 miles on my 4th tank. The wind seemed to change constantly on the trip with a lot of tailwinds and then strong headwinds. It was never the same direction for more than 100 miles or so.

VERY pleased with the truck and don't have a single regret with buying it last month. Look forward to many more trips in it!

Chris
