Train/Air horns....

Alright all.....I've really been wanting a train/air horn ever since I saw my buddys F250 with one. Expensive yes! But I know that it would NEVER get old. There has been so many times that I wish I had one. Im kinda curious about the switch for the inside, would I still have the stock horn? If anyone has one I would love to see some pics (inside and out) and how much did ya'll pay for the whole kit? Thanks

You could put a switch that would switch the train horn or the factory horns between the factory horn button.

I dont know if they are any good, but check out hornblasters.com

Mine is triggered by a momentary on push button switch mounted next to the cig lighter. Its totally seperate from the factory horn...that way you can still use the factory horn in situations where its appropriate....because the train horn should not be considered a replacment for the factory horn.

I have been thinking about getting one also, damn pedestrians on the UF campus just walk out infront of you no matter what!!!!!! Since I am 2wd I would like to replace that odd thing that is where the 4wd selector should be. Anyone done this or have pics??? Also those of you that have these where do you mount everything???

Have them mounted underneith on my 07 HD. Horns [three of them] are bolted to the floor under the drivers side, rear passenger floor board. Facing the driveshaft. Compressor and tank are on a shelf welded to the passenger side frame rail.

Small momentary switch for train horn. You need to have the truck and the train horn seperate. You don't want to "Blast" everyone everytime you need to hit the horn.

FYI, no one lingers in the left lane on I-95. LOL They get out of the way !!

I replaced my bezel cigarette lighter with a pretty cool switch that fit in near perfect.

I assume you meant S&M Truck World, they always seem a little high. I don't know how many times I imagine myself with a train horn. Dang tourists.

Another person in my area
