lift kit and wheel spacers help

I just put on the 6" rcd lift, 18" moto metal 951 with 4.5" backspacing on 35" mud grapplers. I hate how the wheels stick way out of the fender, i would take pics but i dont have a camera, ill try to borrow one. but the lift kit instructions say the backspacing max is 4 5/8", so does that mean i cant get wheels with 5- 5.5 " backspacing? i think i want something around there to bring the tires back in a bit, i checked the clearence at full turn, there is about 2" clearance to the steering knuckle. i think even 5.5" is possible.

heres the other issue, im positive the kit increased my track width in the front, the rear tires stick out less, what do you guys think about getting wheels with about 5.5" backspacing and maybe putting a 1/2" wheel spacer in the rear? does anyone have or know where i can get good 1/2" wheel spacers? if this is a good idea, would anyone want my current wheel and tires?

thanks for any help... btw ive been building up this truck for awhile now, i have the mentioned lift, flexalite 270, magnaflow sido, 3.5" AF1 intake, xcal 2, just waiting for the tunes to come back from troyer, so i can put on the intake clean it up, and take some nice pictures for yall, also a custom car computer ive been working on, still not done which i can take some teaser pics

Depending on the wheel you can fit one with 6inch bs I have 5.5 on a 9 inch wide wheel and its perfect.

Man dude you have one of the worst attitudes on here, all you post is crap, never helpful info just smart remarks. Maybe a digital camera isnt what he wants to spend his money on? Do you know why I dont have any updated pics of my truck? because I dont have a digital camera either, I have to borrow one when I need it, but I dont care because I dont have much use for one either.

Is that a money joke? I dont like how you come here and post crap, not worth the space you just took up. Have you ever posted anything helpful?

BTW wheres some pics of your truck, you dont seem to have any up, do you not have a camera? Ill buy you that one time use one just so you can put some pics up

Back on topic, when thump or someone else gets on they can help you more, but I know a 9 inch wheel with 5.5 BS fits because thats what I have and it looks good. I think like tuff4rd or someone like that has an RDC with 6 inchs of BS and he is still fine

The front fenders taper so it aides in the appearance of your tires sticking out more than the rear. (For the sake of the thread.)

If you want to stick with the 951's the next option would be a 5.71 which would be close. The reason the fronts stick out further than the rear is because the rcd is a knuckle kit and with about all knuckle kits you need to have a cv extension which causes the fronts to stick out usually about 1-1/4" further than the rear. I would go with RCD's suggestion because they know their design and there's probably a good chance that 5.71 would cause the tire to rub on the after market knuckle.

Not all increase track the fabtech does but the procomp doesnt, someone with the RCD chime in, I dont know if RCD does or doesnt.

I though when I was looking for wheels 4wheelparts showed like a 5.15 bs for our lugs with that wheel, I might be wrong

As always thanks for all the responses, a little off topic but its cool, i dont want the 951's anymore, i think ill be ok with 5.5" bs on 18x9 rim. also im gonna take pictures soon, its just something i dont do, and i want it to be just right, cause i got OCD. but anyways, than the big question is about the spacers, who has em, how are they, where can i get about 1/2" billet spacer for my rear wheels, the mud grapplers are too aggresive, my truck is a street queen, i think im gonna go with xd 778 or 766 on toyo mud terrains, i also have a westin bullbar, which i dont want no more either.

I know someone who makes adapters and could probably make spacers as well. Here's a link to the adapters and just contact them and ask. http://www.airbagit-store.com/produc...ory.asp?id=599
