Pricing 2007 FX4
Pricing 2007 FX4
I'm currently in the market for a new 2007 FX4, and was wondering what fellow owners had paid? I currently own a '97 F150 4X4 Lariet SC loaded @100K mi, and still running good. However, I made the mistake of driving a new F150 FX4, and am now hooked! Here in ABQ, NM they are not budging much off of $2500-3000 off MSRP + whatever incentives Ford is offering. So, I was just wondering what others are currently paying for their 2007 end of year closeouts?
One thing I can tell you is to shop at 3 or more dealers and find the best price. I really didn't do that and I am pretty sure I could have saved another $2k-$3k. Find out invoice on the truck no matter what at edmonds also. Good Luck.
Go over to BlueOvalForums and post a message in the X-Plan PIN requests form (linked above) and ask for an X-Plan PIN. That'll be a haggle-free way of getting a really good price.
Good luck!

The best time to buy a truck is when the new models hit the dealer's lots. And I'm not talking about buying a left over 2007, I mean a new 2008 model. Sales are typically sparse at the year end sales time, so they're looking to move any truck on the lot.
My 2 cents. You can probably get them to budge a $43K FX4 closer to $33K than a $30K FX4 to $25K. Definitely shop around different dealers. Look for dealers who have the ability to deal on new trucks, and also look for ones paying well for trade-ins (usually, they're one in the same). Only X-Plan if you suck at negotiating.
