largest tires on stock 18" rims...

I was wondering what size tire will fit on my stock 18" rims. What is the width on the stock rims? I am assuming that you can put 35's on the stock rim but the width is the limiting factor. Also not sure if it matters but I plan on getting a leveling kit before the new tires anyway. That might make a little more clearance

Done to death...

But, you will get 35's on stock 18's though some of the more aggresive MT's will give you issues - regardless of leveling kit or not.

Have a browse in the Tires & Wheels section of the board as several members here have gone the path you've mentioned. Many have also provided pics.

Good luck.

..... oh, and the site's "search" function works like a charm!

The most M/T's will rub on the upper control arm when at or close to full lock. But with an A/T you should get by very very minor/if any rubbing at all.

I got 33 x 12.50 Toyo Open Country M/t on my stock rims without a leveling kit, but there is about 3/8 before the tire hits the upper a-arm. They only rub once and awhile, like when I back out of the driveway.
