Which leveling kit do I need? And tire ?

Thinking about leveling out my 05 STX 4X4 and not sure on which AutoSpring Leveling kit to get. Do I need to get the 2" or 2.5" kit? Does anyone make a kit that does not require getting the front end realigned? How would my truck look with the leveling kit with stock wheels and tires (255/70/17)? I am planning on getting some 285/70/17's when its time to replace the stock tires. Would I have any rubbing with this size?
Thanks for the help.

Andrew

With what you have and what you want a 2'' kit will work fine. A 2.5 is suppose to level you out perfect. I have a 2'' on mine.

No, all leveling kits require you move around suspension bits, hence the requirement for alignment post install.

The 2" will leave you with a slight rake to the front, the 2.5" will be a bit closer to level, but still a hair nose down.

Your truck fits 285/70R17s stock. You do not need a leveling kit for this size unless you are running aftermarket rims as well. With stock wheels, and a leveling kit, you can run up to 35x12.50/17s (The rims are technically too narrow for 12.5, but a LOT of guys run them anyway...)
