Here's the problem with the whole size limit thing. The size of the image in (pixels x pixels) has NOTHING to do with the actual size of the file. For example:

ThumperMX113's image in his signature is 500x100, and the file size is 83,228 bytes.

The image in my signature is 600x228, and the file size is 32,494 bytes, or 61% smaller than ThumperMX113's image.

This means that even though the image in my signature takes up more room on the page, it requires less room on the server it is hosted on and takes less bandwidth for it to be downloaded in the forum. How much less? 61% less. Just food for thought!

No kidding, I tried to tell jbmx that when he designed the signature!

Food for though, the website changed hands, it's probally on bigger servers now so we don't have to worry about it. I don't know but it seems like the site is running a lot faster now a days. Now its just about not having stupidly large signature images and than a list of about 100 mods like "Fuzzy Dice" "WalMart FloorMats" . .

I hear you Freeky. Clearly your signature is larger than 500x100 and IMO there's nothing wrong with it. I could be wrong, but I don't believe the whole 500x100 thing is for download times, bandwith, etc. I think it's for the people like torturekilla who have obnoxious sized signatures. Come to think of it, his isn't even Ford related... I think it's a bunch of bums. I don't really see the point, but oh well... life goes on. I have better things to worry about than the size of peoples signatures, but I will admit that some of the huge ones get kind of annoying sometimes.

torturekilla's signature

cooper atr's 32"
blowmaster supa 44's
air raid intake
diablo custom tune
4.56 ford motorsport gears
undercover
2.5 as

future mod list:
total choas uca
fabtech 6" coilover system
cb
rid of the gf
End of signature

On my wifes laptop, I can't even fit his whole signature on the screen.

Ok, Thumper has made me feel guilty, so I removed most of the crap from my signature.

Yeah, I know. I still didn't need that crap in there. Maybe I will add some of torturekilla's family members from his signature to my signature...

Thats a good point, and I know saving server space and people with slow connections will apprechiate that... For me though I just hate having to scroll past large sigs in order to read replies. Baja150 for example almost hogs 3/4 of my screen. Really not a big deal, just takes some extra scrolling
