Just replaced fuel filter

Have 32k on the beast (2005 scab 5.4) so thought it was about time to do this. Read about some of the horror stories but also read about some good results. Went to Checker auto and bought the disconnect set ($11.95 for the complete set, I'm taking it back). You only use the 5/16 size. I have the blue clip at the fuel tank end of filter, insert disconnect, lift up slightly on clip and its loose. Remove silver clip on engine end, insert tool and its apart. Replace with new filter, double check clips and check for leakage with engine running. Took at most 10 minutes. I really don't know why some had a hard time with this.

When you reconnect the fuel line to the new fuel filter, Do you press down on the blue clip to lock it in place?

Yup. Just press down ( gently) on that little tab, after the fitting is snapped onto the filter.
