HID's and OEM or Projector Headlamp Housings

Has anyone installed HID's into there OEM headlight housings or projector light housings? If so can i see some pics..I have projectors with the halo angel eyes and i'd like to add a set but some say there no good..they cause too much glare and have a bad cutoff (whatever that means). Does anyone have them installed and have you experienced any issues with them at all?..ty to all you good people ty.

I have them in my OEM housings, they glare bad but you can aim them down enough not to be too blinding and enough to avoid the police. I only run my fogs if I'm blinding people too badly, I'd rather have my heads aimed up for backroad driving. A very good mod, do it.

I have the HID is stock housing. A bit of glare but it spreads nice. I have see the projectors with HID and to me its just not enough light. They shine farther but not wide enough for me.

Well do you think i could get away with useing my projector headlights and HID without there being too much glare..or offending motorists..or even gettin pulled over.. I have a white truck and black hellas just wouldnt match with my truck to good the way i have it set up now and i really want HID's. Wish i had another option. Does that mean all HID users have blacked out headlights?

in the last post i was told oem chrome housings are only made for filament bulbs and that the chrome oem or the projectors are NOT recommended for HID's because of the high glare and bad cutoff whatever that means. I'm getting soo many contradicting replys its crazy, and your the only one that replied having HID's in stock chrome or projector headlights out of this whole forumn. What do people who dont want blackout lights do? they cant have HID's? HID's are only for blacked out headlights? i dont get it.. so confused Anyone runnin HID's in stock headlights or projectors? PLEASE let me know..

Dont you have projector headlights. They are perfect for projectors. Just get them and move on to your next mod.

You first...

We've got a new kiddo (1-month old) and we're eyeballing buying a new house... needless to say, my 'mod' budget is non-existant at the moment.

F150Duke has a retrofit, which is very expensive.
