Hey guys i started a post earlier this week and I need your help again. Thanks for all of your help so far. So I stopped by my local ford dealership today to pick up my column shifter, and I didnt get all that I wanted. I found out that the shifter doesn't come with the mounting bracket piece that the shifter attaches to on the steereing column, so I would need to buy a whole new column. Does anybody know where I could find this piece, along with a "20" seat. Also, will I need a new shift cable? b/c I know you need a new one to go from column to floor? Thanks for any of your guys help again.

Ive tried all of the junkyards and wasn't lucky enough yet to find a newer F150 in any of them. Also, does anybody know if I actually need to buy a brand new steering column?

 

Why do you want to do this? To gain a seat? Is there anyway you could just make the bracket?

Yeaa.. it is for the seat kalebarellano and the bracket part is pretty complex for me b/c its part of the gear shift.. I did just buy a new column today all i need now is the seat. I am looking for a grey leather '"20" seat if anybody needs to get rid of one. Thanks for all the replies as well guys.

 

FordFX404, just so you know the center 20 seat only came with factory leather in the Lariats, which has different leather than the FX4's.

The FX4 leather is called sport leather and is perforated, the lariat leather is smooth and has no holes.
