I think the road armor is still more expensive, ($1900) $1500 sounds like alot of money until you hit a deer and have to pay double that fixing your front end

EDIT: Is a good looking bumper though

Pat man lol, you are like a walking billboard for boondocks. Are you sure you dont have any ties to that company that would give you a bonus for selling on here?

But I just wish this bumper was cheaper, the way it looks is so nice! Ive seen the boondocks one time on here some where and it was too plain and the bars that protect the grill and headlights were to big IMO for me. Thats why I like this type of bumper....but argh!

nope not attached.
i just think people should know that they can get that exact bumper from boondocks cheaper.

boondocks will make the bumper however you want it to look, fior the same price. they can change how the grille guard is to what you say and charge the same amount.

they are building me a rear bumper also soon just about identical to the road amors for what? 450? vs like 1200? lol.

and it hasnt been installed yet....it ships this week....will have it installed sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Pat, I've asked Boondocks to make me a bumper similar to that of the Road Armor. I do not wish to pay for the Road Armor name and would be covering it up anyhow, and to cover it up they want an extra few hundred (it's literally an option on their website), so I looked to another brand, Boondocks. I was expecting something to the legalities of copying their design but here was their reply...

Josiah,
The bumper that is pictured on ebay and my website is the only model that I offer. The bumper I produce is my own design, I will not copy someone elses bumper. The reason the front of the bumper is so large is that the frame rails are very low. In order to cover the frame rails up, the bumper has to be that low. It would be impossible to make a bumper that everyone thinks looks good, it is all a matter of opinion. It looks a lot better in person, the pictures don't do it any justice. I do offer the winch plate option and the D-rings on each side of the fairlead cutout if you are still interested.

Thank You,
Anthony Perkins

If only I had the tools available to make one myself.

That's a nice idea, I guess I will have to wait to see what yours turns out like.
