Headers

I'm going to bet I'll have the time of my life putting these puppies on!

Pace Setter long tubes. You could prolly bet a few more ponies out of these just by porting out each tube where it's welded to the flange. Port it out to fit the gasket. I might do it.

Thanks Eric!

I have been wanting to get these. Just seems wrong to not have headers on a vehicle I own. LOL.

Here's a question for you guys.

this issue came up on FTW about the headers, that the stock manifolds are just as efficient as a set of headers, but i'm curious. My father is an old school mechanic (used to tune jag's by setting a glass of water on top of the motor and when the water was smooth, the car was tuned just right, yada yada yada) He mentioned to me each tube of the header is tuned to that cylinder. Is that the case with the new motors?

Have Fun! Took a solid day for me and a friend to put em on, and still couldnt get the last two bolts on the passenger side on. Also I seem to be the only one, but I had fitment issues with the Passenger side hitting the fire wall, had to bend it in a lil. But the sound and performance is a significant increase even on an NA truck

I installed the headers and my truck jumped up to 255hp and 290tq with just the headers, true duals and a K&N drop in. FX4 Matt and myself have seen gains that put Troyer Performance into R&D mode to correct the fuel tables due to the increase in HP and TQ with our trucks with these headers.

Tip of the day. remove the starter and unbolt the motor mount on the passenger side and jack the motor up as far as you can will help in the install, also remove the right front tire and inner fender will make reaching the front bolts a lot easyer.

I may just pay a shop to install them. Don't know yet. If I do them, I'm gonna borrow my buddies shop and use his lift.

I got these from a member on here. $275 get them to my door.

Speaking of my buddies shop; he just finished putting his new 454, new trans, new heads and WICKED cam in his 1970 corvette. Holy cow that thing is awesome... He not happy yet with it's speed... he'll claim that it's bark is worse than it bite.. Only a couple other cars have planted me in the seat that hard in a while.

When you go to install these do us all a favor and take LOTS of pictures with a step by step write up.

mini wrenches and ratchet wrenches helps a LOT! I did it at my dads shop if you dont have a lift it would be a major PITA!. and the passenger side takes the longest the driver side takes about an hour good luck.....

As others have said the passenger side is a royal PITA! It wouldnt have been tooo bad but I couldnt get the motor jacked up far enough bc the blower was hitting the cowl. So after removing the blower it went on no problem. It helps taking out the inner fender and the top 2 front bolts are the worst ones. Drivers side took 45 min.
