Did the wax look like this?

This is an "OK" wax. I prefer WD-40 or Liquid Wrench though.

I've used Mother's California Gold Carnauba wax for years and nothing but spectacular results. It is a bit hard to buff off by hand...I suggest using an electric buffer.

I dared a friend of mine to wax his new car with rain-x concentrate.

His car looked like pooop for months... he tried everything to get it off.

how long did you wait to remove it and how hot/humid was it? if it wasn't dry yet, any wax can leave tons of streaks on a vehicle.

Back in high school I worked summers in the school district maintenance office. We had a kid Armor All'd the whole truck! Not just the dash, seats, and steering wheel...but the body, windshield, and tires. I don't think dirt had a chance to think about sticking to the body after that detail!

Its called B.O.M. i use it on my Harley which is black. I spray it on and wipe it down with a moist washcloth, and you can use it on any hard surface, glass, paint, plastic, chrome, whatever. You would be amazed how good this stuff works and how much crap it will remove. It also resists fingerprints which can be a pain in the **** on a black bike/vehicle.

I suspect that the problem was you didnt strip what ever wax you already had on your truck off before using the new stuff. Often polishes and waxes are not compatible with each other.

Then it comes down to whats the best wax...its like asking whats the best oil. Everybody has their own opinion and they they really beleive they are right. I am Zaino man myself and would not use anything else...but I also use Mobil 1 and vote Republican.

Naa, he's still my friend... but I got a good whooopin for doing that.

After a lot of claybaring, washing, and waxing his car finally came out nice.
