Smoked lights

I used some spray stuff to tint my fog lights a few years back, i think it was a purple can called night shades or something, well one of my lights is now peeling away and looks like heck. I've been looking around online for a company that does tint jobs on lights by spraying them but am not having any luck finding anything. I know ive seen some sights in the past. Anyone out there have any recommendations to where i can get this job done with quality???
thanks

i've never heard of a company that does spray on. theres a couple places that sell the film specifically for headlights, foglights etc. I tried one on my headlight but it was too convex of a curve.

You may want to try a body shop and have them tint a clearcoat with a basecoat color to spray over them. I've heard of old school guys doing that. gotta have a good hand with the gun though or you can see the overlap.

But wouldnt the fog lights get way too hot? I think thats why they look awful now because all ive heard is people using the Nite Shades to tint thier tail lights.

How long is a few years? I just saw a thread where a guy used nightshades to paint his tails and 3rd brake. I was gonna do it this weekend but not if it is going to look like butt in a while. Did you sand the lenses prior to paint?

I think the reason is the heat from the fogs. I did the same thing a set of headlights on my old 89 ranger and after about a year and a half they started to flake and peel, but the taillights still looked brand new.

VHT NiteShades is designed for your taillights(temps not as hot). I had it on my VW tails and this stuff is real durable when used for what's its designed for.

I would make some covers out of some tinted plexiglass or an old set of headlight covers and velcro them on.That way you could remove the covers and still use the fog lights if you needed to.

Talk to some local body shops. All they do is add a little black to some clear and spray it. Easy for them to do.
