Shifter Interlock Problems

When those of you who have had their dealer work on the problem, did it have to not shift all the time or intermittently? Mine started doing it once a day or so, especially when it has been sitting out in the 100 degree weather at work.

I do not want to go through the pain of going to the dealer if it is policy to fix it only if it does not shift when it is there.

Thanks

i have seen this problem a few times. sometimes its the interlock sometimes its the brake pedal switch. there is actually 2 switches inside the brake pedal switch. one for the interlock and one for the brake lights. so just because the brakelights work fine does not mean it isnt the switch. ive found most of the intermittent problems to be corrosion in the brake pedal switch. hope this helps.
