Center console with Floor Shifter
Center console with Floor Shifter
I am planning on getting a 04-present f-150 sometime within the year, and I am going to get it with a floor shifter. I am just wondering does anyone know if I could replace the stick and **** with a hurst shifter stick and ****? I just want something different than the trucks with the floor shifter.
I thought about the same thing for mine. Changing out the entire shifter would probably be your best bet. When I looked into it, I could not find any brackets to mount the shifter cable on the 4R75 trans, but I did find a set for an AOD made by B&M, and since they both have the same pan shape, the AOD brackets might fit. Of course you would have to modify your console to fit the new shifter, any 3 speed floor shift should work.
If you want a console with the floor shift, they are only available in the FX2's, FX4's, Lariats, and Lariat variants (king ranch, Harley)

Thanks for the help, other please help if you know anything about this, and if you did it, can you tell me and other who think about doing how you did it and possibly show some pics of the finished product
If you want to change just the handle, the Mark LT came with a leather one factory (the Mark LT is just a Lincoln version of the F-150) on 04-06 you will have to modify the guts of the LT handle to make it fit, the 07's are a direct fit, they changed the shifter mechanism so that they are the same on both trucks. Do a search for LT shifter handles for more info.
