ArmorLid?

Never heard of these before, but im seeing the ad on this forum now about a hardcover for only $499 w/ free shipping, lightweight, and easy to take on and off.

Are these things any good? Would they be any better than my snap-button teaneu cover i have now?

Saw a thread about this cover in the bedliners section a couple months ago but there was nothing going on in it.

Anyone got any other info on these?

Leer and the A.R.E are the way to go for our trucks. 600 dollars is a bit too much for black ones. Leer and A.R.E dealers will install theirs with the matching color for your truck for an extra $150. I may consider Armorlid if they have pre painted lid to match the color of my truck. ArmorLid will only look good if you have a white truck, other than that they will look out of place.

Im looking for a bedcover and was all for the Undercover, then I saw the ads for this thing and thought it might be the way to go. Looked on the website, looked pretty nice, a lot like the Undercover. Did a search on here and I came up with two threads, one with a post of a guy who sells the Armor lid and the Undercover. He said the Armor lid has a rougher texture than the Undercover, and the underside doesnt have the bracing. Said he sells them for the exact same price too.

So just from that I decided to say heck with the Armor lid and stick with the Undercover. I can get the Undercover cheaper than the $499 locally, and Im betting its a much better cover too.

I would look into one of those before the Armor if your wanting to switch.

Those Leer covers look darn nice, but they are HEAVY as chit, plus expensive. And with the painted surface they just get scratched to heck. I liked my old Undercover because 7 drunk people could stand and dance and party on it and it didnt do a thing to it

And your sig...holy fuggin...omg...

Yep, like Kingfish said, Undercover is the brand, made by them.

I bought one for my 99 from StylinConcepts a few years back for around 600. Now that I have a new truck I have been searching around and can get ahold of one locally; I was quoted 475 for a price. Three other places I called were all around the 500 dollar mark too.

I might go to my local tonneau dealership to take a look at them.
