Bank 1 & 2 too lean

2006 4.6L 4x4, edge and airaid

The check engine light has been coming on for about 2 weeks now. At first i thought it was the edge causing it but when i set it back from level 2 to 1 and then to stock it would still come on a day or so after i cleared the light. It says that bank 1 is running too lean, bank 2 is too lean, and the on-board diagnostic check was no complete. The truck as 18000 miles and I had been running 89 octane on level 2 but back to 87 octane on level 1. What would cause this? Just thinking through, I was wondering if I got some bad fuel somewhere and it clogged up my fuel filter or something like that?

mine did that a month or so back. is it just a check engine light or is it running rough? mine ran rough and it turned out to be the variable cam timing sensor which is covered under warranty on a tsb

Same here

I just run a code check and bank 1 y 2 is running too lean (P0174, P0171)also Gas rail pressure have a out of range or fail (P0191) I think was because a cloged 90,000 miles gas filter :o the drive goes roughly above 60MPHO or uphills. I just change the filter, now runing great. Stock computer program

Try cleaning out your mass air sensor, running lean isn't fun at all.
